New Delhi: TripAdvisor announced the winners of its Travellers’ Choice® awards for destinations, recognizing travellers’ favourite places around the world. This year, Bali, Indonesia is the global winner and Goa ranks number one in India.
“TripAdvisor helps millions of Indian travellers by not only inspiring them to travel but also aid them in making informed choices whether they choose to holiday domestically or international. The Travellers’ Choice Destinations awards this year includes a great mix of popular destinations as well as lesser known cities which I am sure will stimulate the Indian traveller to experience fabulous places within our country” said Nikhil Ganju, Country Manager, TripAdvisor India.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions in destinations worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period, as well as traveller booking interest on TripAdvisor. The awards honour 418 outstanding destinations in 24 lists across the globe.
TripAdvisor has also identified top-rated hotels and iconic attractions that travellers love when they visit Asia’s award-winning destinations.
