Pranay Verdia
[dropcap]B[/dropcap]engaluru: Marriott International has recently appointed Pranay Verdia as Multi Property General Manager for Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Rajajinagar. Mr. Pranay brings over 19 years of rich experience in hospitality to his new posting. He has been associated with various properties of Marriott International across India.
Prior to Marriott, he has worked at Four Season Hotel Mumbai and Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa in different roles. Mr. Pranay is a determined person with great business acumen and keen inclination to deliver operational excellence. He started his journey in hospitality as a Front Office Associate at Hotel Sofitel Ummed, Ahmedabad in 1998.
He joined the Marriott family in 2000 at Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre and Marriott Executive Apartments. Mr. Pranay was responsible for opening the first Fairfield by Marriott in Asia Pacific as the General Manager – Fairfield by Marriott Bengaluru Rajajinagar in 2013. Mr. Pranay’s most recent assignment was at Goa Marriott Resort and Spa as General Manager. Under his leadership the hotel recorded impressive overall growth, repositioned its restaurants successfully and upgraded associate facilities. He is passionate about training and taking care of the associates, which reflects in his team’s engagement scores year on year in every hotel he has worked.
He graduated from the Institute of Hotel Management Catering & Nutrition, Pusa, New Delhi. When not at work, Mr. Pranay enjoys reading and traveling.
